Oppoottil Genaral Ward in Mandiram Hospital was open on 30th July 2021 by Ravi Abraham Oppootil, MD, Kanam Latex Limited in the presence of Shri Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan MLA, members of Oppootil family, office bearers of Mandirams Society and staff of Mandiram Hospital.
General ward has separate blocks for men and women. It has an area of 3100 square feet with 25 beds.
Fr. P A Philip, vicar of Cheriapally Church, Kottayam led the consecration ceremony.
Oppoottil family donated Rs 1.5 crore to Mandiram Hospital to build this ward. Family has also offered Rs 25000 for setting up a new water treatment plant in the Hospital.
